Martina Hamilton's bespoke platform had become a constraint — inflexible, difficult to update, and out of step with what a modern jewellery brand and its customers expect.
The move to Shopify had to protect hard-won search rankings and sales through the transition, while giving the brand a considered, gallery-style storefront and a reliable Klaviyo email channel.

Overview
Martina Hamilton is a Sligo-based Irish jewellery brand with a distinctive handcrafted aesthetic and a loyal customer base built over years. When the business was ready to move off its bespoke platform, they chose Milk Bottle Labs to handle the migration to Shopify and get Klaviyo working as a proper email channel.

The challenge
The existing platform had served its purpose, but it was holding the business back. Limited flexibility, difficult to update, and not built with modern e-commerce in mind — it was increasingly getting in the way rather than enabling growth. The move to Shopify had to be done right: no lost rankings, no disruption to sales, and no data left behind.

What we did
We migrated Martina Hamilton from their bespoke platform to Shopify, designing and building the new store from the ground up. Alongside the migration, we set up Klaviyo with automated email flows and campaigns — giving the brand a reliable, revenue-generating email channel that works alongside the store rather than as an afterthought.
