Ireland's 1st Official Shopify Meetup
In May 2016 we hosted the first ever Ireland Shopify Meetup at the wonderful new Bank of Ireland branch in Grand Canal Dock. Located beside the Facebook & Google HQ's, the new branch is ideally located for an after work Meetup.
The main objective of the Meetup was to introduce the start-up community to the best e-commerce platform. For an e-commerce start-up wishing to sell online as quickly as possible on a bullet proof platform, Shopify is really worth considering. As Ireland's No. 1 rated Shopify experts, we want to spread the word and make sure all budding e-commerce entrepreneurs are aware of Shopify before choosing their e-commerce platform.
The room was full of like-minded online entrepreneurs, Shopify fans and small and medium business owners who have a passion for e-commerce. There was a mix of Shopify users and business owners looking at upgrading their current website. Interestingly, quite a few attendees were scoping out the Shopify POS system. We were busy answering questions :).
We had 2 main speakers on the night:
Keir Whitaker from the Shopify Partner Growth Team shared his views on the future of e-commerce. Channels to market via Shopify are increasing all the time. The future is certainly bright for all Shopifyers !
Paul Myers travelled from Galway to represent Autofulfil, one of Ireland's most popular e-commerce fulfilment agencies. Paul discussed the challenges that many of our clients and many e-commerce entrepreneurs find when stores grow. Autofulfil offer a premium well-priced fulfilment serviced enabling Shopify store owners to outsource stock management and delivery to the end customer.
